Auto Stamp Rotating

Recommended Posts

Steamfitterx

Hello I just installed Nitro pro 12.16.3.574 and i created a custom stamp. When I put the stamp on the drawing the text inside the stamp rotates 90 degrees, it is a dynamic stamp. When you use another kind of stamp it works fine, it does not rotate. What is the issue

Hello @Steamfitterx,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

In order to further assist you, does this happen with every file or just with mixed-page orientation (portrait and landscape pages within the PDF file)? If it is a single file, please send us the sample file (with sensitive information extracted) by sending me a private message so I can replicate it on my end.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Ok I will at break. Ill explain what happens than ill send you a file. It even happens with your pre loaded stamps. The stamps that are dynamic that come with nitro also do this you choose the stamp and put where you want and press the mouse button and the text inside flips. II am using scanned image files of Job isometric drawings in PDF format from a CAD program. These PDF are in 11 x 17 format. When i try to add a stamp to them from the ones rovided it rotates. I will have to download software to record this and send to you. I also found another problem with stamps and i will start a new thread for that

Did you find a resolution to this issue?  I am having the same problem with stamps rotated 90 degrees when they are inserted although the image is correct until they are actually inserted.

I tried to delete stamp and add it again, I tried to save the document and start over, I tried to resize the stamp and changing the format from portrait to landscape...I am at a loss as to why it will not work correctly.

Hello

I have the same problem with the Nitro Pro 12. It is noticeable that stamps do the rotation only for scanned and OCR edited files. Digitally created PDF or files created with file "New" show the stamp correctly.

Hello @Adrian ,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

After checking my resources, kindly note that this issue will be placed on the long-term product roadmap, so unfortunately, there is no short-term solution for it.

In the meantime, I recommend creating your stamp from an image with other information you want to use.

Please be aware that Nitro typically has multiple releases throughout the year.

This case will be closed, however, we recommend to follow our Release Notes located on our site https://www.gonitro.com/support/documentation/release-notes

On behalf of Nitro Pro, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hello @Bcincotta,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

In order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please provide the following?:
-Is this a new issue or has it occurred since after installing Nitro Pro? Any changes you are aware of before this happened?
-Does this happen with every file? If it is a single file, please send us the sample file (with sensitive information extracted) by sending me a private message so I can replicate it on my end.
-What is your workflow when the stamps rotates?

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

this has happened since I installed the latest version of Nitro.  It seems to only affect docs that are in landscape more.  The test seems to snap to align with the long direction of the page.

It happens on every doc in landscape mode.  For me, that is almost all my docs.

I never had this issue with any previous versions.  We have used nitro since version 8.

the text rotates immediately when I stamp the doc.  The outline does not rotate.  just the text.

Hello @Bcincotta,

Thank you for this information and my apologies for this inconvenience.

Have you tried running a repair of the Nitro Pro application? You may refer to this article: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/repair/000004603. Did it help?

If no, let us try some troubleshooting by referring to these steps:

1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files.

2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip

NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000004307

3. Please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

4. Download and install Nitro Pro 12.16 using below offline installers:

x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi

If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000003790

5. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate and entering your serial number.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
