Bret A. Bennett
Hi, The environment is Nitro Pro v12.0.0.108. Scenario: When printing a web page from a browser, how to I disable printing the web site's header on every page of the pdf? That repetitive header is hiding content at the top of the pages that I need to see. If it helps, here's a link where an Adobe user who describes a similar situation:https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1567645 Regards . . .
Bret A. Bennett
Hi, Once again today I need to use this feature. So does no reply mean Nitro Pro can't do this? Please advise. Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted July 31, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted July 31, 2019 Hello @BretAB, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! If you are using Chrome, you should see 'More Options' where you can disable 'Header and Footer'. For your convenience, please refer to this screen-cast https://www.screencast.com/t/ejfkxIlkr Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you. Bret A. Bennett
Hi AllainU, Thanks for the reply : ) I'm using Chrome and my bad, I should have mentioned that I've already tried those check boxes. That test revealed that what Chrome is talking about there is Chrome's ability to add informative headers and footers: The header has the data and the html page title, and the footer has the web page url. Those header and footer check boxes are present whether using Chrome's pdf driver or Nitro Pro. So I took another look at that Abobe page link I supplied above. It now looks like your proposal was the same "solution" that Adobe provided their user. On reflection, that may be the only problem their user was experiencing. I found a sample page that illustrates my problem: http://techgenix.com/reviews/ . When we try to print to native or Nitro Pro, notice how the web page's custom header appears on every page of the pdf (and covers up content). I think we need an html coder to explain how that page interacts with the pdf driver and applies that site's header after every pdf page break. Hum . . . Your thoughts? Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted August 2, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted August 2, 2019 Hello @BretAB, After checking the link you have shared, it appears it is the page's menu bar is covering the content when printing, not the headers. Unfortunately, our PDF Creator doesn't have html coder or setting to by-pass such part of the web-page. If you would like to request a change in how Nitro handles similar web-pages with menu bars, you can submit the request directly to our Product Team using the link: https://community.gonitro.com/forum/12-product-improvement/ While we cannot guarantee each feature request submitted will be granted, rest assured our development team will be notified through above website and all updates will be available on this page: https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads Please check for updates on page above from time to time. My apologies if I am not of much help for this issue.
Bret A. Bennett
Thanks AllainU : ) I've never coded a floating menu bar. Differentiation noted. I'll pass this thread to Product Improvements per suggestion. Regards . . .
