Bob I. 1 Report post Posted August 11, 2019 Greetings to All, I was able to follow the guide to create a pdf form which uses a calculation in a "totals" field to sum up a series of grades (for my students). I am looking to learn how to create another field which looks at the number in the "totals" field and converts that number into a letter grade (e.g., "A," "A-," "B+," etc.) I would imagine that this would require a "if...else" function (if I am using the correct terminology). I am NOT looking for anyone to do this for me, just asking the group if they could point me towards a source where I can learn how to do this. Would the group have any suggestions re: pdf scripting using such a function/operator? Thanks!
Steven Zakulec 60 Report post Posted August 14, 2019 Realistically, what I do is search for whatever it is I want to do with Adobe instead of Nitro. Adobe is where the vast majority of samples, examples, and so forth are- you can usually adapt them or use them as-is for Nitro. If nothing promising turns up for you, let me know and I'll see if I can find something.
Bob I. 1 Report post Posted August 14, 2019 Steven (if I may), Thanks for the great suggestion. I found this post which helped me greatly - perhaps it will help another instructor as well. (Warning: please read the post through to the end). https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2609247 Thank you again! Bob
