ITmanager00
When I try to convert any PDF document to Word format I receive an error message which states: The PDF file could not be converted. The selected output file is already opened in another application and cannot be overwritten. I have closed all applications and rebooted twice. I have copied the source document to a new file. I have also run Repair on the installed program twice. The error continues to display. When I click the OK button Nitro Pro opens a Save As box and any name entered for a file name generates a File not found error. How do I repair Nitro Pro 11 so I can convert PDF files to Word format again? Many thanks for any help provided! Ken
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted August 20, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted August 20, 2019 Hello @ITmanager00, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! To run a repair of Nitro Pro, we have this article with detailed steps?: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/repair/000001641 If the steps in the article did not help and in order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please provide the following?: -Is this a new issue or has it occurred since after installing Nitro Pro? Any changes you are aware of before this happened? -The serial number of your Nitro Pro. To send it via private message, hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message'. This matters because our business installers are different from the online ones. -Nitro Pro build (format is 11.X.X.X, e.g. 11.0.7.411) you are working with. You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features. -Where are the files saved (local, a shared drive or an external drive) when you are trying to convert? Can you check if you have the same issue when the file is saved locally? -Could you please try converting to PDF by opening the Word document using MS Word > File > Print > PDF Creator 11. How did it go? Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
