nitro pro 12 not processing pdf creation from scanner

from doc feeder, document scans, then nitro freezes.

from flatbed, doc scans, nitro dialog asks whether finished or another sheet, i select finished, windows installer message box appears ("preparing to install"), but nothing happens. i have waited as long as 15 minutes with nothing happening. need to end task with task manager. tried cancelling the windows installer, but nitro is still frozen.

tried repairing nitro and uninstall/reinstall with no success.

nitro pro 12.6.1.298; canon mx922. been using this combination successfully to date. 

any/all help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

To further assist you, I would recommend to update to 12.16 using below MSI installers:

x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi

After installation, please try your workflow again.

Installed the update. Still no go. Even tried uninstalling/reinstalling my printer to no avail. Any more ideas?
