v12 print to PDF Append does not work

Recently installed Nitro Pro 12 on Windows 10 Pro, everything current with Windows Update.

When printing to the Nitro Pro Print to PDF driver, if I select an existing file and request Append, it acts like it happened (no error messages) but the target file is untouched.  This is valuable functionality and I'd like to get it back.

Hello @m_in_sc,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

In order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please provide the following?:
-Is this a new issue or has it occurred since after installing Nitro Pro? Any changes you are aware of before this happened?
-Nitro Pro build (format is 12.X.X.X, e.g. 12.0.0.112) you are working with. You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
-Does this happen with every file? If it is a single file, please send us the sample file (with sensitive information extracted) by sending me a private message so I can replicate it on my end.
-Where are the files saved (local, a shared drive or an external drive) when you are trying to print to PDF Creator? Can you check if you have the same issue when the file is saved locally?

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

This is a new issue since upgrading from Nitro Pro 11 to 12.  Using Build 12.16.3.574.

I have narrowed the problem down a bit.  If I print to PDF from Word, then print again with Append, it works.  The file is in a folder that is mirrored to OneDrive.

If I scan a file to PDF from my Fujitsu Scansnap s1300i scanner, and then print to that file selecting Append, it fails.  The failure appears to tied to the file.  If I move it to only local storage, append still fails.  I will send you the scanner PDF that can't be appended to.
