andy krasnow
i recently moved over to Win10, on a new laptop. Upgraded to Nitro 12. want to duplex print a rather large document, and am unable to do so--though I always could on old machine, using Win 7. worse, the printer properties choices don't have the option. what the heck is going on?!?!?! Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted September 12, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted September 12, 2019 Hello @cqlink, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! In line with adding support, are you referring to purchasing VIP Access for your Nitro Pro 12? If yes, could you please provide the email address you used to purchase the program? With regard to your printing concern, you have to make sure that your printer allows for double-sided printing (or Duplex Printing as per attached image), and that the latest printer driver is installed. After that, please do the following: 1. On the Windows Taskbar, right-click the Windows icon, and then go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers 2. Right-click the printer icon for your product, and then click Printing Preferences. 3. Select your new default print settings. ie. printing on both sides, and then click OK. If that does not work, please provide me with the following information for further troubleshooting: -The file/s you are working with, or any sample file so we can test this on our end -What build of Nitro Pro are you working with? You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab (format is 12.X.X.X, e.g. 12.0.0.112) or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features. Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
andy krasnow
using a Brothe MFC 7860DW, which is duplex-capable. since move to win 10, the printer pref window is substantially different--just a basic hierachy without the duplex option. have screenshot, but can't upload here, it appears. i have battled with Brother about this since I got the machine but they say that it's not their problem. think that it's time to get a new printer, rather than try to solve this one. thanks! andy krasnow
Nitro Pro 12.16.3.54 this happens with any doc that I choose, so sending a sample doc won't make much sense. that said, the printer pref box does not look like your example--although it used to, before switching to Win10. I suspect that this is a Brother problem, but I've goten zero statisfactiion from them. they maintain that I'm running the most current driver. :-((
Brit Lee
Duplex printing is a feature of some computer printers and multi-function printers (MFPs) that allows the printing of a sheet of paper on both sides here automatically. Print devices without this capability can only print on a single side of paper, sometimes called single-sided printing or simplex printing.
