Copy text from searchable pdf

In Version 12 I was able to copy text from searchable pdf documents.  Since I updated to the latest version of 13.2.3.26, I'm not able to copy text.  I try to copy the word "Thomas" and I get this:  6Z[\].

I'm going to have to go back to Version 12 to be able to do my work.

Thanks for getting back to me.  I installed Version 12 and opened the document in Version 12 and still have the same problem.  I then tried to convert the file to a Word document and was unable to.  I'm assuming it's the document that's the problem.  Thank you for your help, though.
