Hello @Dennis H,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

To further assist you, I just made an adjustment on your license, so you can reactivate your copy of Nitro Pro by going to Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate, entering your serial number and clicking Activate.

If it happens again, could you please provide the following information?:

-Has Nitro Pro been frequently disconnecting, or is this the first time it occurred?
-Can the deactivation issue be correlated to disconnecting from your network or Wi-Fi?
-Are you aware of any other changes to your environment (e.g. Windows Updates)? To check, please refer to this article:
https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-find-out-every-last-thing-about-windows-update/

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi AllainU, thanks for the suggestions. See below for my responses.

-Has Nitro Pro been frequently disconnecting, or is this the first time it occurred?--->  No, this is the first time this has happened
-Can the deactivation issue be correlated to disconnecting from your network or Wi-Fi?  ----> No, I was connected to the network for 42 hours without any disconnects
-Are you aware of any other changes to your environment (e.g. Windows Updates)? To check, please refer to this article:  ----> No changes to my environment that I can account for.

Still no luck activating Nitro Pro; as mentioned in my post, clicking Activate from the help menu doesn't launch the Activation Window.

Is there an update for this.  I'm at the point where I'll need to consider other options if this can't be fixed soon. Thanks.

Hello @Dennis H,

Thank you this information and our sincere apologies for the delay.

To fix this activation issue, please properly follow these steps:

1. Kindly use this MS FixIt tool to remove all traces of Nitro Pro from your machine then reboot it:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

2. After rebooting, please delete 'Nitro' folders from Program Files and ProgramData (hidden) directories.

3. Then clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

4. Re-download our offline installers below to reinstall Nitro Pro 13.2.6.26 which is our latest build:

x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_132626/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_132626/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x64.msi

If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000003790

5. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate and entering your serial number.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

This process did not work; i'm still getting the same -7089 error message and, attempting to activate by clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate does nothing on my laptop. Thanks but it looks like I'm going to need to move to another PDF tool.

Hello @Dennis H

I just wanted to reach out regarding this issue.

Our team has been able to find a workaround:

1. Close Nitro.
2. Go to C:\ProgramData\Nitro\Pro\13 (note that ProgramData is a hidden folder) You can also get to the ProgramData folder by typing %programdata% in the Windows Start Menu.
3. Delete the Nalpeiron folder
4. Relaunch Nitro and then try reactivating. This should now work.

Please let us know how this goes for you.
