pdf problem

When starting with a blank page and creating a new document by adding text and then saving as a pdf file, if the file is next opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version) the document can be edited !!

Hello @quondman,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

In order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please provide the following?:
-The serial number of your Nitro Pro. To send it via private message, hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message'.
-Nitro Pro build (format is 13.X.X.X, e.g. 13.2.2.25) you are working with. You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi AllainU,

I am a new user of Nitro Pro 12. The user guide / help pages simply say :

1. Open your PDF document

2. Make the necessary changes

3. In the File menu, click Save As

However, I have discovered that the file is not a protected pdf UNLESS some kind of SECURITY is set before saving. This is not clear to first time users !!

Hello @quondman,

Thank you for providing this information.

Would it be possible to send us the sample file (with sensitive information extracted) by sending me a private message so I can replicate it on my end?

To send it via private message, hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message'.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Starting with a new blank document, add ANY text, click finish typing and then save new document as a pdf.

Close document and Nitro pro.

Open the saved file, in my case using Acrobat reader DC (free version), and then the so called pdf file can be edited !
