Converting Russian scanned pdf that was OCR'ed by Nitro Pro 11 to word gives Gibberish word doc

Recommended Posts

Dear Forum members.

I'm trying to convert a Russian pdf that passed OCR by Nitro Pro 11.03.134 to word format.

When the file is converted I get Gibberish unreadable word file, I use Windows 10 and Word 365.

I was trying to convert another Russian pdf that passed OCR by Nitro Pro and I get the same Gibberish results.

Please advice?

Hi Allain.

Thank you for your answer.

I had upgraded and now the GUI of my Nitro Pro 11 is in Russian but if I convert a Russian pdf file that I scanned and OCR'ed by Nitro PDF pro (before the upgrade to new sw) I still get the same Gibberish results  when I convert the file to word instead of Russian Cyrillic letters I get kinda of corrupted text inside the word file.

I have latest office 365 and I also checked the same word file and tryed  to open it in google docs but I get the same Gibberish results.

Please advice?

Hello @feranicus,

Thank you for this information.

Does this happen with every scanned files? If yes, please note that the last build Russian language is Nitro Pro 11.0.3.173 and we no longer support it as per article:   https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/language/000004131

I hope this helps and my sincere apologies for this inconvenience.
