Russell Posted November 13, 2019 Report Share Posted November 13, 2019 Hi, I have a copy of Nitro Pro which gives me the right to use it on a second computer. So I downloaded Nitro Pro 13 onto the second computer and entered the licence key, only to get the message that this licence doesn't exist. Which of course it does, as it's the one on my first computer. I went into Nitro's Activation portal, and, as instructed, entered my serial number. It told me to press a Deactivate button in order to proceed. I didn't do this because I fear this would deactivate Nitro Pro on my first computer, to be able to activate it on my second; so I'd only have it on my second computer - which is a breach of my licence right. I was also, frankly, concerned it might not work and I'd end up with no working version. So can you please help? Incidentally I contacted Cleverbridge who said they couldn't help, even though it's a licencing problem. I also tried to contact Nitro Pro directly but there is no way to do this on their website - they say you have to have 'premium support' but I should not have to pay for support when I am just trying to obtain my contractual right to install a second copy. Please uninstall the old version of Nitro Pro and install Nitro Pro 13. You can get the correct version 13 installers from this page: https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro, click on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate and enter your serial. But it's not very clear to me what you want me to do, or how that solves the problem I raised. Let me explain again. On machine 1, I have Nitro Pro version 11. I want to install a second copy of Nitro Pro on machine 2, as my licence allows. I have downloaded Nitro Pro 13 onto machine 2. I tried to activate it by entering the serial number, but got the message that this number doesn't exist. I went to the online Activation portal and found that it asked me to 'Deactivate' without specifying what...and I am concerned that it would deactivate my existing Nitro Pro on machine 1, and also that it doesn't solve my problem of wanting to have Nitro Pro on both machine 1 and machine 2.
