Change cross font for checkboxes

Hello everybody,

I have some difficulties with creating checkboxes. 
In the finished PDF file checkbox crosses created with Nitro looking like that:

Checkboxes created with other PDF Editors are all looking like that:

It seems like Nitro is using a font there (maybe Helvetica which is default in the properties of the checkbox, but can not be changed).

Do you now how I can change the cross to the version that fills out the whole checkbox?

At this time this cannot be changed yet.
