jakesandeen
Nitro 12.16.3.574 crashing when printing to a Kyocera TASKalfa 4550ci using KX drivers (v6.3.909.0). Switching to PCL drivers will allow printing successfully but I'm not able to utilize all of the 4550ci's functions unless I use the KX driver. Alternatively, I have downgraded Nitro to v12.14.0.558, which does not crash on KX drivers. However, Nitro seems to be upgrading to 12.16.3.574 automatically after a day or two. Barring a fix to 12.16's problem with KX drivers, is there a way to stop the automatic upgrades from 12.14 to 12.16? I'm open to a regedit if needed/possible. Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted November 26, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted November 26, 2019 Hello @jakesandeen, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! Please be informed this issue with Kyocera printers has been fixed upon the release of Nitro Pro 13.6.0.108 as per Release Notes: https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/release-notes If you prefer staying with Nitro Pro 12.14 and you want to stop auto-updating to 12.16, we need to know more about your machine. It is a member of a Domain within your organization / company? If yes, I believe your IT Admin may have placed a Group Policy (GPO) and attached the Nitro Pro 12 MSI installer somewhere. This has happened to one of my case before and it was fixed after removing that MSI package. I also had another case where a Shavlik program is the culprit. It's a patching software that scans their computers and will push out updates to computers and the software therein it finds that need updating. If you have such software installed, Nitro Pro could be listed there to keep it updated. Otherwise if you were interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 13 with VIP Access (formerly Software Assurance), kindly access our Upgrade Portal and enter your Nitro Pro 12 serial number: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps!
