Print to PDF 'save as' malfunction

Recommended Posts

Effie

When I print to PDF from nitro pro 12, the "save as" function is not working properly.  The steps I go through to print to PDF are 1) clicking print to PDF when prompted, and 2) then saving the file in the correct subfolder. When I try to type a file name, the characters that get typed do not correspond with the letters on my keyboard. For example, when I try to save PDF as "Printed", the letters that show up when I type "printed" are random, e.g. "(*###**", and do not correspond with the actual letters I am pressing. Is this a bug in the software (I don't have this problem with other software I use" ) and how can I fix it.

Hello @Effie,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

Since this is the first time we have received such behavior when using Save As function, I recommend that you repair your Nitro Pro via the Control Panel > Programs and Features. Please reboot your computer before and after running this repair to ensure that there are no ties to Nitro still active in the background. You may refer to this article:   https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/repair/000004603

If repairing did not help, could you please provide the exact build of Nitro Pro are you working with? You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab (format is 12.X.X.X, e.g. 12.0.0.112) or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.
