Jonas Grant
I have a pre-existing PDF - probably created with Acrobat, but not sure (was sent to me). I'd like to add password security to this PDF, but the option to do so is greyed out in Nitro PDF. So is certificate security. How do I add a password to open the document? Official Nitronaut Leslie V Posted December 23, 2019 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted December 23, 2019 Hello @JG1 Thanks for reaching out to us! The file might already be a secured file that is why some functions are greyed out. You can send it to us here so we can check. Or you can check the security settings by right-clicking on any page of the PDF then choose Document Properties. Go to the Security tab where you'll see the functions that are allowed and not allowed. I hope that helps!
