JasonP 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2020 Afternoon, We have a few users running Nitro 12 and whenever they open PDF files from sharepoint (in file explorer) they're prompted to "Check-out" the file and then "Check-in" when finished. Is there a way to disable this? perhaps in a similar fashion to disabling it for adobe via Regedit? I've checked through the guides on the Knowledge base and made sure all of the site version setting have "Require Check-out" disabled, but doesn't seem to make a difference, so any suggestions would be appreciated. AllainU 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2020 Hello @JasonP, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! What build of Nitro Pro are you working with? You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab (format is 12.X.X.X, e.g. 12.0.0.112) or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features. Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

AllainU 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2020 Hello @JasonP, Thank you for this information. After checking our internal resources, I can see it was hard-coded within the package upon the release of Nitro Pro 12.7 and there is no registry setting to turn this off. If not with much inconvenience on your part, could you please try reverting one machine from 12.16 to 12.7? If yes, you can refer to these steps: 1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files. Kindly note Appdata folder is hidden and to unhide it, please refer to this article https://cybertext.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/cant-see-the-appdata-folder/ 2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1391155/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000004307 3. Please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package. 4. Download and install Nitro Pro 12.7 using below offline installers: x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1270395/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1270395/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000003790 5. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your serial number. Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps! JasonP 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2020 Hi, Thanks for the info! i've cleared the temp folder, ran the clean up tool, removed all old installers and installed Nitro Pro 12.7 successfully. However, as you said the feature was hard coded into Nitro with release of 12.7 so the issue of the checking in & out pdf's still remains. Is there perhaps a Nitro Pro 12 version before 12.7 that doesn't have the sharepoint integration feature, that we can download? Thanks,
AllainU 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2020 Hello @JasonP, Please try installing Nitro Pro 12.6 using below installers instead of Nitro Pro 12.7: x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1261298/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1261298/en/burn/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi Thank you and my sincere apologies for the confusion. JasonP 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2020 Hi, Thanks for providing the older version. I've tried the above mentioned instructions and installed 12.6 but i'm still receiving the below popup when opeing sharepoint files. I note that you mentioned this being hard-coded into Nitro as of 12.7. Does that mean that there is a registry fix or something of the like that'll remove this for 12.6?
