License renewal process

Dear Nitro Team,

I'm wondering what the license renewal process for Nitro is or will be. In September 2019 I have received an email that my upgrade service had expired and that I could get the new version at 40% off. I have essentially paid 50 € for missing an early renewal of the software assurance and I could not find any pointers that I had received any expirations warnings ahead of time, neither in the app nor via email - only that discount offer after the expiration.

This leads to the following few questions:

1) Will I receive an expiration warning ahead of the expiration date this year? Or will I get again only the discount offer at a higher price afterwards? I mean, even though I think a reminder ahead of time would be a nice gesture, it would be fine if I knew ahead of time that there won't be one and set a calendar reminder for myself.

2) How can I actually renew early? I haven't found a way to do that. If I go to https://www.gonitro.com/de/support/upgrade, it rejects my serial stating that it could not be found.

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums and our sincere apologies if you did not receive an email reminder before your Software Assurance (now known as VIP Access) expired.

To further assist you, please refer to my answers below:

1. 30-days prior to the expiry date of your VIP Access, you should receive an email reminder to renew you subscription for another year. This will allow you to also upgrade your Nitro Pro 13 to Nitro Pro 14 (Q3 or Q4) free of charge. 

2. To upgrade to the newest version and to renew your VIP Access, you just need to visit our Upgrade Portal. At the moment, it rejects your new serial number because it is already for the latest version. Upon the release of Nitro Pro 14, it should work.
