Hi Leslie,

Please find attached the file and screenshot of the error message.

Steps to reproduce this error

1. Open a pdf doc from Nitro Pro

2. From Home --> Type Text and under Format select "Smart Alignment"

3. Save the file and close in NitroPro

4. Open the modified pdf doc to view in Adobe Reader.

As I'm unable to attach the screenshot image to this post I've uploaded the docs with screenshot to google drive at below url:

Thanks.

Hello @rboaz

I looked at this file. It was created using the Microsoft 2016 PDF creator.

Even without opening the file in Nitro and adding that text, the error message you were getting still shows up.

Please try recreating the file. You can try the following workaround:

a. Open the document in Nitro
b. Go to the File menu, and click Print
c. Choose the Nitro Pro Printer, and click the Print button
d. When prompted to Save, save the new document to the desired location
e. Open the new document in Nitro Pro and recreate the form fields as required.

Please note that the results may vary with this workaround.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Leslie.  Sorry for the confusion here.  There are two R's responding here.  His problem and others sounded like mine.  Here is the link to the original file.

When edited in Nitro Pro it looks great.  When opened in Adobe Acrobat the edited portions are irregular dots and a pop-up box appears with The font “ contains bad /Flags.

Hello @rboaz

Sorry for the confusion!

I checked your file but I cannot replicate the issue.

Please send me your exact steps and some screenshots of what you see.

Are you also using version 13.9? If not, please let me know the exact version of Nitro you are using.

Thanks,

Leslie

Hi Leslie,

Unfortunately the trial has expired and I couldn't follow the steps mentioned in this forum. Is it possible to extend my trail for some more time as I'd like to verify if I'm able to edit pdf docs.

Also the workaround mentioned in this forum doesn't seem to be the right approach i.e, to save all pdf docs using Nitro Pro and then editing it. If this is the case the what is the use of saving the doc in pdf format ?

Thanks.

Hi Leslie,

Thanks for resetting the trial. As suggested I've followed the steps as mentioned in this post however the error still remains the same after printing using Nitro Pro and editing the pdf file.

Thanks.
