Sara D
We recently purchased the Nitro Productivity Suite and installed it on the latest version of Windows. When you go into any program and try to print, Nitro is not listed in the list of printers. If you go into an Office program, we can see NItro in the ribbon but it is not listed in the list of printers. We connect to a virtual server from this computer that connects to all printers that are on the desktop. Since Nitro is not in the list of printers, it's not showing as an option on the virtual server. Besides that, it's also just a disruption of work flow since we don't have ultimately flexibility to print to Nitro from any program.

Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted February 25, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted February 25, 2020 (edited) Hello @Sara D, If Nitro PDF creator is not listed in Devices and Printers, an installation failure may have occurred and to further troubleshoot, kindly follow these steps: 1. Close your Nitro Pro and MS Office applications if they're open. 2. Right-click on the Nitro Pro desktop icon and select Run as Administrator. 3. Go to Help tab > Support Tools > PDF Creation tab and click Nitro PDF Creator button. If the tool is not found in Help tab, you will need to go to the installation folder of Nitro Pro and run NitroPDFSupportTools.exe (by default, it is inside C:\Program Files\Nitro\Pro 13) 4. Installation will be done in the background. Once it's done, you should receive a message 'installation of the printer driver was successful’ 5. Click OK > Close. Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you. Edited February 26, 2020 by AllainU

Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted February 28, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted February 28, 2020 (edited) Hello @JBORG, Before continuing, please be aware that Nitro Pro 11 or older are already discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/support/sunset-policy . With that, support for the discontinued versions are no longer available. If you are interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 13 with VIP Access (formerly Software Assurance), kindly access our Upgrade Portal and enter your Nitro Pro 11 serial number: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade You should then receive an email confirmation with a new serial number to activate Nitro Pro 13 and to know more about some enhancements and fixes with Nitro Pro 13, please visit our Release Notes page https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/release-notes If you prefer staying with an older build, kindly reinstall your Nitro PDF Creator by referring to these steps: 1. Close your Nitro Pro and MS Office applications if they're open. 2. Right-click on the Nitro Pro desktop icon and select Run as Administrator. 3. Go to Help tab > Support Tools > PDF Creation tab and click Nitro PDF Creator button. If the tool is not found in Help tab, you will need to go to the installation folder of Nitro Pro and run NitroPDFSupportTools.exe (by default, it is inside C:\Program Files\Nitro\Pro 11) 4. Installation will be done in the background. Once it's done, you should receive a message 'installation of the printer driver was successful’ 5. Click OK > Close. If above steps did not help, install our stand-alone PDF creator using below direct links: 32-bit http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/enterprise/Nitro_Creator_x86.msi 64-bit http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_1108470/en/enterprise/Nitro_Creator_x64.msi If you are not sure which to pick, this will help: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/64/000003790 Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps! JBORG
That fixed the problem. I was doing everything correctly EXCEPT "Run as Administrator". I will check out the upgrade to 13. I have used Ver. 11 without any other problems. I appreciate the time you took to help me out. Thank you so much.
