NitroPro FileOpen show blank pages?

I am evaluating which PDF editor to purchase and are comparing Nitro against other products and run into an odd problem: I have a couple of PDFs that are protected/encrypted using FileOpen's technology. NitroPDF is mentioned on their 3rd party page, but when I try to open the documents, all pages in are blank. Other products have specific add-ins to handle these protected documents, but I do not find any add-ins. Googling for nitro pdf and fileopen results in a single link to an unanswered question on this very forum.

This is show-stopper for me. If I can't open protected documents in Nitro, it's a no-go.

I'm running v13.16.2.300 on Windows 10.

Kindly note we have stopped supporting FileOpen encryption starting Nitro Pro 12.16.

I hope this helps and stay safe always!

Well, that's a pity. I liked a lot of what I saw otherwise.

Greetings @Florent GARCIA

Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums!

We do apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused.
Nitro stopped supporting FileOpen in version 13 when they changed their application interface. We are currently working with them to add support back but this process may take a considerable amount of time to complete.

Kind regards,

Encountering issues with NitroPDF's handling of File Open protected PDFs is indeed a significant concern in your evaluation process.

Despite File Open's mention as a third-party on Nitro's page, attempting to open these documents results in blank pages, a crucial setback.

Unlike other products with specific add-ins to handle such encryption, the absence of clear add-ins or solutions within NitroPDF is frustrating. The lack of available information or support intensifies the problem.

This limitation, preventing access to protected documents, stands as a decisive factor in your decision-making process regarding PDF editors.
