Nitro Pro 13 Reverted to Trial Mode and only have 1 Activation Left

Through no fault of my own, my Nitro Pro reverted to Trial Mode.  My computer did not crash and I do not have a new computer.   No clue why or how this happened.  When I pulled up my serial number it said that I am allowed 2 activations and 1has already been used (I assume that was the initial activation).  I hesitate to use my only activation option left for fear that this will happen again.  Any ideas on how to resolve this dilemma?
