Nitro Pro 13 runs painfully slow on my PC

Hi -

Nitro Pro 13 is painfully slow opening PDF files on my PC compared to my laptop.  Is there a know fix or should I remove and reinstall?  If I need to reinstall where can I locate my signature file so it can save it and use the fresh installation?

In order for me to further assist you with your concern, could you please provide the following?:

-Is this a new issue or has it occurred since after installing Nitro Pro? Any changes you are aware of before this happened (e.g. Windows Updates)?
-Build of Nitro Pro are you working with. You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab (format is 13.X.X.X, e.g. 13.2.3.26) or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
-Could you please start Nitro while the machine is offline (or disconnected to the Internet)? Did it that make any difference?
-Without opening any PDF, does is still load slow?

This is a new issue but I have done nothing about it the last month or so. There is no specific event that I am aware of that caused this change. The build is 13.2.3.26.

I disabled my internet connection and tried again but still experienced the same problem of loading VERY slowly.

What are the next steps?

I haven't heard back from you. Can you let me know where the signature files is stored so I can delete and reinstall Nitro Pro 13.

The speed open PDF files are excruciatingly slow.

Hello @Howard Smolin,

My apologies for the delay.

Let us try some troubleshooting by referring to these steps:

1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files. Kindly note Appdata folder is hidden and to unhide it, please refer to this article https://cybertext.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/cant-see-the-appdata-folder/ 

2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro:  http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13220414/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip

NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000004307 

3. Clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

4. Download and install Nitro Pro 13.22 using below offline installers:

x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13220414/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13220414/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x64.msi

5. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your serial number.

Hi Allainu,

Thank you for your response. It appears that the instructions for where the Quick Signatures are located may not apply to the current version of Pro 13. Maybe I am doing something wrong but would you be kind enough to check on your end.

Hello @Howard Smolin,

Thank you for your response.

Since you have Nitro Pro 13, you may just go to C:\Users\<your_username\AppData\Roaming\Nitro\Pro\13 to back up your signatures.
