Nitro PDF Pro 14 won't start

Hi,

we have an issue: on some PCs Nitro PDF Pro installs but won't start.

After digging into windows event viewer i found an error related to file

c:\Program Files\Nitro\PDF Pro\14\ShaferFilechck.DLL

if i delete that .dll file Nitro starts, but in READER mode, and it's not possible to activate the license (i belevie that that dll manages the lciense activation files).

 

All of our PCs are the same make and model, installed and configured via autopilot and intune, and Nitro is installed via company portal. On some PCs it works, on others not.

 

Can someone help me?

I would like to know if this is still an issue. If so, please describe the behavior when the Nitro PDF Pro won't start. 
If there is an error message, please share a screenshot so we can review it. 

Lastly, what is the complete build of your Nitro PDF Pro 14? The details are in the application under the Help tab > About Nitro PDF Pro.
