My PC slows down when opening about 15 documents in any number of windows.

Dear reader,

My PC slows down when opening about 15 documents in any number of windows.

It is a 12th gen Intel with 16 gb of memory, the memory is never my bottleneck.

This is not a one time issue, but repetitive and reproducible.

Do you have an idea why that is?

I do have a direction I am thinking in.

Another PC I use does not have this issue, older 8th gen processor (about 2/3rds of the benchmark relative to the newer 12th gen) with same 16 GB memory, but dedicated graphics card AMD radeon RX6400 (just a reasonable card that does not need a power connector)
