Rolf C Posted August 28, 2020 Report Share Posted August 28, 2020 (edited) Hi I'm using Pro 11 since 05.2018. Now all in a sudden it crashes. I tried to repair to not avail. Deinstallation does not work either. Appreciate to find help on this topic and version. Err msg like : The service does not have sufficient privileges. Swapped PC and want to download & re-install but nothing to download only an upgrade for CHF 174 which I canot afford. Want's next. Where can I get my oold version back? Help pages seems to me like a dead end. No real help like by other applications of other companies. C2V contact only on electronic basis. Single users must avail whats available. The error is generated when the Nalpeiron service has not been started. Please check that the Nalpeiron Server is started by following the steps below: • Click on Start > type 'Services. • In the box, scroll down to Nalpeiron Licensing Service > Right-click > Properties. Set it to 'Automatic' and click Start. • If it will not start and you see an error, 1717, scroll down to Windows Event Log in the 'Services' dialogue box > Right-click > Properties. Set it to 'Automatic' and click Start. • Then try starting the Nalpeiron Service • Once the service is start try to run Nitro. Please let me know if you were able to get the program started. Rolf C Posted August 29, 2020 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2020 Hi. Thanks for your help. Since nothing went on, I de-installed Nitro. When this failed I completely deleted the Nitro folder from the PC. I could not find relevant info on the help pages! I then swapped the PC and wanted to re-install Pro 11 by going to the website for downöload. . That's when I learned that I canot get again Pro 11 since discontinued . So I guess I'm planted. I do still have the option to get an upgrad with 20% discount but this is too expensive for me keeping in mind, that I thought that I can re-install 11... What's your input here? Can you help further? I do volonteering work for free for several sports clubs and I'm retired living on small budget. P.S the procedure above you suggested did not show any Nalpeiro!
