Eduardo Belgrano Posted November 10, 2020 Report Posted November 10, 2020 I have NITRO PRO 7 installed on my PC, which worked very well until some time ago. Now, when I click on the desktop icon I get the notification: "The service does not have sufficient privileges. Please reinstall". I don't know why i am getting this now, but I do have the original serial number to reinstall it. Shall I go ahead and reinstall it? Additionally, I have NITRO PRO 12 installed on my laptop. I know I can also install it on my PC but did not want to do it because the version 7 was working just fine. I would be very grateful if someone can direct me as to how to proceed forward. Thanks!

I didn't have any problem before, except lately when I got the already mentioned notification. Thanks

Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted November 12, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Posted November 12, 2020 Hello @Aetius, Thank you for your response and my apologies for the delay. Kindly note that Nitro Pro 7 was developed, released and then eventually discontinued prior to Windows 10 being released (July 2015) which is why there is no compatibility from the get-go. It has been discontinued as documented in our Sunset Policy: https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/sunset-policy If you are interested in upgrading your license to Nitro Pro 13 with a discounted rate, kindly access our Upgrade Portal and enter your Nitro Pro 7 serial number: https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade You should then receive an email confirmation with a new serial number to activate Nitro Pro 13 and to know more about some enhancements and fixes with Nitro Pro 13, please visit our Release Notes page https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/release-notes In addition to that and many other feature improvements, version 13 also contains some important security vulnerabilities fixes that you might want to consider when deciding whether to upgrade to it or not. You can find out more about these fixes here: https://www.gonitro.com/nps/security/updates Should you have further questions, please do not hesitate to reach-out again.

Hi Allain, thank you very much for your extensive explanation. I checked and the upgrade costs $80 which i find a bit excessive. As explained earlier i also have a Nitro 12 which I bought unrelated to the nitro 7, and have it installed on my laptop only. I would like to install a copy on my PC Workstation W10. What would be the steps and the link? Thanks!
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted November 13, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Posted November 13, 2020 Hello @Aetius, Yes you may install Nitro Pro 12 on your PC by using these direct MSI installers: x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your serial number Kindly note that your Nitro Pro 12 is a single-user license can be used on two machines as long as you follow the rules outlined in our End User License Agreement (EULA): 'Licensee may install one copy of the Licensed Software on a single computer. The primary user of the computer on which the Licensed Software is installed may install a second copy of the software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable computer or a computer located at his or her home, provided the software on the portable or home computer is NOT USED at the same time as the software on the primary computer.' Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.
Eduardo Belgrano Posted November 14, 2020 Author Report Posted November 14, 2020 Yes, Allain it helps indeed. I am the only user of NITRO PRO 12 which I bought independently of NITRO PRO 7. I will install it the on my PC-Workstation which is in my office on Monday. Incidentally, I have also an old laptop (W7) which I do not use anymore to go to the internet, but noticed that I have installed NITRO PRO 7 on it and works very good, without problem! As I mentioned before, the NITRO PRO 12 is installed only on my new laptop so I will proceed on Monday to install it also on my PC. BTW, I think it is only fair that it can be used individually, but not on both computers at the same time. I will report on Monday once I have it installed and running. Thanks!

Hi Allain, I had sent you an email yesterday. Don't know if you read it. I was writing that i was not able to open the link you kindly sent me to install on my PC Nitro Pro which i have on my laptop. x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12163574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi Please advice
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted November 17, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Posted November 17, 2020 Hello @Aetius, I copied the above URL and pasted it to my Chrome and I was able to download the MSI installer. Could you please right-click the URL and select 'Open Link in New tab'? How did it go? Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Allain, I am sorry for the late reply. It seems I had an issue with the PC settings, but I just solved and proceeded to install Nitro Pro 12 as per the link you kindly sent me. On top of that, for some reason I ignore, when I try to reply to you, I get a notification stating that the mail I entered is used by another member, which of course is not true. I proceeded to click on ABOUT and a screen opened showing the (correct) serial number and a notice DEACTIVATE. I did not have to enter my serial#. Is everything OK? How is this possible? Please let me know.
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted November 23, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Posted November 23, 2020 Hello @Aetius, If you are seeing Deactivate button, it means your Nitro Pro 12.16 is now Activated and you should have its full features. Kindly when you updated to this build, the same serial number is still in the registry which is why you no longer have to enter it. Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.
Eduardo Belgrano Posted November 24, 2020 Author Report Posted November 24, 2020 Hurrah! I did it with your great help. Thank you much.
