Copying elements and keeping their position

Hi, I'd like to copy several objects from one page of a document and then paste them onto another page. I'm selecting an object, copying it and then I switch to another page. I'd like the object to be pasted in the original position (left and top) as it appeared on source page. How do I do that? When I paste the copied element, it's centered, shows up in the middle of the page.
