NeriK 0
I have a client wanting a calendar to monitor how often a link is activated in a PDF. When another person opens the PDF, the calendar shows how many times it has been accessed and a certain link used... probably too much to expect from a PDF?
Power User Steven Zakulec 60 Posted February 6, 2017 Power User Report Share Posted February 6, 2017 Probably the easiest way to do this is to make sure the link points to somewhere you can run analytics on- rather than trying to build something in the PDF to track usage (which is possible, but I can't really help you with that), have the URL point to somewhere you can grab usage numbers from. As a very simple example, you could use a link shortener like bit.ly- you'd make a shortened link, and put that in the PDF. Then when someone clicks on the link, you'll be able to know by checking your account or the shortened link.
NeriK 0
Thanks Steven, just makes it clear it's way above my pay grade lol.. I am a simple PDF creator and user, I mostly build websites hand coded and this was just a random enquiry for help with their PDF.
