DM7518Nitro Posted February 1, 2021 Report Posted February 1, 2021 Nitro Pro 11 was working fine on a Windows 7 workstation. We finally upgraded to Windows 10. On this machine only, not on an of the others we have upgraded, upon starting Nitro Pro I get the following error: "The service does not have sufficient privileges. Please reinstall." Now, I can get this work by right clicking and running as an administrator. Is there any way to fix this without the trouble of having to reinstall? Any idea what caused the problem?
Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted February 1, 2021 Official Nitronaut Report Posted February 1, 2021 Hi @DM7518Nitro, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! The error may be caused by a service that is installed with an ordinary user privileges or the computer was setup in such a way that on the Administrator account itself can install services. Please try the following and see how it works for you: 1. Uninstall, reboot and re-install Nitro Pro 11. 2. Click on Start > type 'Services.msc' In the box, scroll down to Nalpeiron Licensing Service > Right-click > Properties. Set it to 'Automatic' and click Start. (If it will not start and you see an error 1717/1722, scroll down to Windows Event Log in the 'Services' dialogue box > Right-click > Properties. Set it to 'Automatic' and click Start, then try starting the Nalpeiron Service) 3. Once the service has started try to run Nitro. Kind regards,
