Problems signing into community and Nitro.

Nitro support is horrible.

I had to create a new account because Nitro support doesn't understand English.

I tried to log into this community with my existing account to ask/look for help, but when I try to log in it tells me "Your account needs to be linked before you can sign in with this method. Log into the front-end to complete this and then try again."

1) What method are you referring to? I clicked on Sign In. How is that a special method?

2) How do you link it?

3) What am I linking it to?

4) Where is the Front End.

I asked these questions before and the response I got was that the community and sign.nitro are different. Really? Gosh, I never would have thought that. (sarcasm) But you didn't answer the questions. You gave a non sequitur.

Please answer those questions.

Hi @Vincent Terpe,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

The linking may be related to syncing your Nitro Sign, you can see this when you access your Account Settings. Under Overview section, you will see a Configure link to sync your Nitro Sign account. 

If you are still seeing that message when logging in to community forums, please take a screenshot so we could check.

Wow, do they pay you to provide service this bad?

There are FOUR distinct questions in my OP and you vaguely addressed one.

I would like you to address ALL FOUR.

Primarily, WHERE IS THE FRONT END ACCESS? It sure isn't on the Nitro home page.

If I could log into my account I might be able to access my Account Setting - but I cannot log in, which is why I am contacting Nitro through a second email.

I would provide you with a screenshot, but there isn't an attachment option, the options are;

Hi @Vincent Terpe,

The linking pertains to the Forums and Nitro Sign accounts. 
When you go to https://community.gonitro.com/ and click the Sign in at the top right, it will redirect you to the Nitro Sign page to login. Once logged in, you will be redirected to community forums page. 

I have outlined my answers to your questions. Please see below:

1) What method are you referring to? I clicked on Sign In. How is that a special method?
This method is simply signing in using the same account on your Nitro Sign. From the screenshot you sent, click the 'Sign in with Nitro Cloud'  button below the Sign in Faster.

2) How do you link it?
If you are already logged-in in community forums, you can link the account clicking your name at the top right then Account Settings.
Under Overview click the Configure. See screenshot below:

After clicking Overview, you will be asked to sign in with Nitro Cloud. See screenshot below.

After clicking 'Sign in with Nitro Cloud', login using the account that is currently logged-in in community forum.


The notification about linking will appear when you are logged-in in community forums but logged out in Nitro Sign. Below is a screencast so you could see the behavior:

3) What am I linking it to?
Your Nitro Sign account.

4) Where is the Front End.
Front end is the Nitro Sign https://cloud.gonitro.com/ 
There is a button 'Sign in with Nitro Cloud' under Sign In Faster on the screenshot you sent. That will direct to the Nitro Sign login page which is the Front end.

 

Regarding the issue where you cannot login, is this your yahoo or hotmail email account? I see two Nitro Sign accounts under your name, the yahoo and hotmail account.

Are you able to login using either the yahoo or hotmail account when you go to https://cloud.gonitro.com/ ?

At this point I have deleted my original account. It seems you have started this convoluted process of eliminating Nitro and going to Sign Nitro (which has no value for me). So I will use this new account.

Well, I deleted the Sign Nitro account for the hotmail account and that fixed everything.
