Can't reactivate

Hi,

I got a strange email a few days ago asking me to download something to prepare for an upgrade and am now second guessing it. I downloaded that file and now all of my pdfs look like Chrome pages and Nitro was blurry. I uninstalled, then tried to reinstall, and now I get an error "your serial # does not exist" message when I try to reactivate. I'm not sure which version I should have.
