To further troubleshoot this issue, please refer to these steps: 1. Clear the content of the directory under C:\users\your_username\Appdata\local\temp. For whatever reason, not all temp files automatically remove themselves and is NOT usually caused by Nitro Pro files. Kindly note Appdata folder is hidden and to unhide it, please refer to this article https://cybertext.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/cant-see-the-appdata-folder/ 2. Download and run our Clean Up utility to uninstall your Nitro Pro: http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13400811/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip NOTE: This clean-up tool will erase any existing signature files within Nitro so please save them to another location before using the clean-up tool in order to keep them. Please see this link for backing up custom stamps/signatures: https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/search/stamps/000004307 3. Clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package. 4. Download and install Nitro Pro 13.40 using below offline installers: x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13400811/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x86.msi x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13400811/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x64.msi To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article:https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq 5. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your serial number. I tried the Support Tools option to re-enable the plugin in Microsoft suite but it still does not work. Now I have to uninstall then reinstall the software again. Narek Zohrabyan Posted November 15, 2021 Author Report Share Posted November 15, 2021 Office is 32 bit and Nitro is 64 bit. When updating nitro, it does not give me an option to selected between 32 or 64 bit installs. I tried running the cleanup script, then reinstalled nitro but it still does not work. I have done used the cleanup tool, removed all temporary files, reinstalled it but still no Nitro addon in my Microsoft word. I have x64 Win 10 Pro OS Build 19044.1466; Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0, Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2019 v16.0.10382.20034 with 32 bit Office Word v 1808 build 10382.20034, where Nitro Pro is listed as one of the addons and Nitro Pro v 13.53.3.1073 64 bit version. Does 64 bit Nitro PDF work with 32 bit Office? How do I fix this as the latest update hasn't resolved this issue on one of my machines. My home computer has 32 bit Office and my work computer has 64 bit office. Same software setup otherwise whereas my office computer properly shows the addon in Word but my home computer does not. Narek Zohrabyan Posted January 31, 2022 Author Report Share Posted January 31, 2022 What do you mean it doesn't have a plug in. My office computer which has office 209 installed on it shows the nitro addon when Word is launched. I'll have to see if I can copy that dll file from my office computer unto my home computer and report back of any changes. That was the same explanation provided in your Nov 16, 2021 reply back to me. Then Nitro released a new version which was supposed to take care of this exact issue. It explains in the release notes that: "Nitro Pro Office Add-In The latest contains an improvement around the Nitro Pro Office add-in for 32-bit Office users on the 64-bit operation system. Previously users with the 64-bit environment might experience difficulties with enabling the Nitro Pro Office add-in. The new version of Nitro Pro not only resolves this issue, but includes a more robust Office add-in." I have this latest version so why am I still having this problem?
