activation failure

I have an unactivated Nitro Pro 12 license that I would like to use. This was purchased along with several other licenses only in February or March this year by a colleague. I tried to install Pro 12 but the installation failed. I had a link to an version that worked and was installed on my device, but the license could not be activated. I also tried installing Pro 13 and the installation worked but the activation failed.
