How to enter a default value for a form field that has multiple lines

I need to have a multi-line form field in my pdf and I need the default value to have multiple lines.  The current version of the software does not appear to allow me to do this.

I need:

line 1,

line 2,

line 3

What I can enter is:

line 1, line 2, line 3

is there any way around this or is the a bug in the software?
