Anoop Hegde
I have NitroPDF version 11 (my serial number says it is valid for version 12 also) First of all, none of the links shown inside NitroPDF (help or activate or license section) work. (www.nitropdf.com/deactivation etc) My previous PC crashed and now I can boot it up but cannot connect to internet. When I tried "Deactivate", it gave me the de-activation certificate to use at URL www.nitropdf.com/deactivation But I cannot get to that URL, it does not exist. (I have attached de-activation certificate here) At your web site, there is no provision to enter a de-activation certificate (very bad for customers trying to take care of such licensing issues themselves without having to bother you) I can enter license number and it shows a button to de-activate but when clicked, it complains that I should select a device to deactivate but it shows no devices (may be because the original PC with Nitro license is not on internet ?) Anyway, my task is simple, use de-activation certificate, then activate from my new PC. I do not see any way of doing that. Please help, and also improve your web site so that customers can do activation/deactivation even when the PC is not on internet. Thanks
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted October 7, 2021 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted October 7, 2021 Hello @Anoop Hegde, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! Please note that we no longer support Nitro Pro 11 and its activation servers have been shut down which is why you are having issues deactivating and activating. We recommend upgrading to our latest version, Nitro PDF Pro 13, which comes with significant stability and security improvements, as well as many feature enhancements, in particular in conversion and OCR functions. To upgrade to Nitro PDF Pro 13, please visit our Upgrade page https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade Alternatively, you can upgrade to the latest build of Nitro Pro 12. Per our Sunset Policy, https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/sunset-policy , we have stopped making feature enhancements to version 12 once we released version 13. You can find the Nitro Pro 12.16.9.574 installer on this page and activate it with your current Nitro Pro serial number 23460x-xxxxxx-627882:https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads If you are getting the 'Nitro Pro Wizard has failed' message using our .exe package, it is because it requires a stable Internet connection to download installation files so please use offline English MSI packages: x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article:https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps. Anoop Hegde
Hi Allain, Thank you for the detailed information. I installed NitroPro12 and could install it with my current serial number from version 11. That brings me back to the original question. Now that I have version 12, can I deactivate it on one PC and activate on another one ? Or will it have the same problem as version 11 (i.e. deactivation servers not operational) ? Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted October 7, 2021 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted October 7, 2021 Hello @Anoop Hegde, When deactivating on one PC and activating on another, you should no longer encounter the previous issue with v12.16.9.574 because it is reporting to the new licensing server. Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps.
