Nitro Pro Freezes/Crashes When Merging PDFs Housed in Google Drive File Stream

Recommended Posts

When attempting to merge multiple documents housed within Google Drive File Stream, the program freezes and eventually crashes. The merged PDF is created and is not corrupt.

This does not occur when attempting to merged files from other locations such as Desktop or Documents.

I already attempted a full uninstall and reinstall, including following the steps from another support article, here:

https://community.gonitro.com/topic/9731-nitro-pro-13-crashesfreezes-when-merging-pdf-files/

I have not yet had the opportunity to replicate it on another machine, but there is clearly an issue with it pulling from Google Drive and saving back to it.

Hello @Bob Carty,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

In order to further assist you, could you please provide the serial number of your Nitro Pro 13? This matters because our business installers are different from the online ones.

Lastly, what build of Nitro Pro are you working with? You can find this out by clicking on 'About Nitro Pro' under the Help tab (format is 13.XX.X.XXX, e.g. 13.53.3.1073) or you can go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.

To send it via private message, hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message'.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Apologies for the delayed response and thank you for yours.

I have sent the serial number privately.

I can confirm we uninstalled and reinstalled that latest version from your website: 13.53.3.1073.

Thank you,

Bob

Hello @Bob Carty,

Thank you for the private message.

As part to of troubleshooting, please uninstall your current Nitro PDF Pro 13 through Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features, reboot the machine then install an older build which is Nitro PDF Pro 13.42.3.855 using these MSI installers:

x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13423855/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_13423855/en/retail/nitro_pro13_ba_x64.msi

To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq

After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering your serial number 5049xx-xxxxxx-746285

Then perform again your workflow in merging/combining documents in your Google Drive File Stream.

Feel free to visit our Release Notes page that specifically mentions the removal of Google Drive integration with the release of Nitro Pro 13.44 in relation to Google's article below:

Thank you and please let us know how it goes on your end.
