Error opening PDF file made by 2020 TurboTax

NitroPro 13, latest update from December, will not open a PDF 2020 tax document made from TurboTax. I got error code 0x40000029 and it said please contact Nitro Support for assistance. The same document will open in Microsoft Edge Browser. Using Windows 11 Pro. Need a fix for this

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums and sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

We recently became aware of this issue with Nitro PDF Pro where certain documents generate this error. Our developers are currently working on getting this resolved.

In the meantime, you have a couple of options. You can open the file in another program such as Chrome, Edge or the free Adobe Reader and then print it to the Nitro PDF Creator printer. The new PDF created will now work in Nitro PDF Pro without error.  

The other option is to uninstall Nitro PDF Pro Version 13.53, reboot your machine, and install Version 13.50 which does not have this issue.  You can download this version of Nitro PDF Pro here:

Thank You for the information. I will use Edge for now, but compatibility with files created by TurboTax would be very helpful as we start 2021 Income Taxes in the U.S.

I am getting the same error when opening a turbo tax pdf.   Any idea when they will have a solution.  First issue I have had with this program and have really liked it.  I can use an alternate reader if it will be soon. When I bought it I had unlimited product updates for one year and do not want to be stuck with something that will not work.  My year ends in April

The release of the new build that contains the fix for this error message when opening certain PDF files is targeted but no ETA yet on its date of release. 

Updated information will be posted on our website ( https://www.gonitro.com/support/documentation/release-notes ) as we firm up the timing and scope of the upcoming release.
