Perry Gretton
I was forced to uninstall my Brother printer software to continue installation because there was no way I could deactivate the process that was blocking it. Afterwards, I spent half-an-hour or more reinstalling it. Instead of blocking, why doesn't the install program allow you to continue. It's hard to believe that this can be a showstopper? Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted January 30, 2022 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted January 30, 2022 Hi @Perry Gretton Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! Our sincere apologies if you had issues installing Nitro PDF Pro. Based on the installation issue, it seems that the Brother Control Center (BrCtrlCntr.exe process) is using a file that Nitro needs to update during the installation process. Nitro Pro installation will proceed if you will stop/kill the BrCtrlCntr.exe process in Windows' Task Manager. Here's the step on how to stop/kill the process in Windows Task Manager: 1. To kill the BrCtrlCntr.exe in Task Manager, please follow the steps below: a. On your computer using Windows search, search for Task Manager and open it. b. From the Task Manager window, go to Processes tab. c. Look for BrCtrlCntr.exe, right click it and select End task. After that, proceed with installing the Nitro PDF Pro. Kind regards,
Perry Gretton
I had tried that, but the BrCtrlCntr.exe process didn't show up. Hence my decision to uninstall the Brother software.
