Unable to activate product in new laptop

I have been trying to activate my NitroPro since yesterday, to no avail. I have downloaded the latest version (yes, I have seen the correct version you should download, please do not direct me to download the correct file) and tried to activate manually, for which I need to:

1. Copy the installation ID. [Done]

2. Go to nitropdf.com/activation to enter the installation ID code and my serial number. Two issues:

2.1. The link does not work - it will only open on Edge. Seriously?

2.2. When on Edge, there is a box where I enter the installation ID code and my serial number, as instructed on the wizard. Upon clicking, I get the message that the parameter was bad, and no activation code generated. I have tried entering the installation ID and serial number manually, pasting them, removing the hyphens, changing the order in which both codes are entered... absolutely every combination imaginable. Nothing. Bad parameter. Without an activation code, I cannot complete the activation wizard.

3. I have tried to go online in case the product needs to be deactivated from my previous machine. I enter my serial number, the license is found, I get the link to "Deactivate"... but then the prompt says "Choose a device". No devices show at all. I cannot choose a device.

4. I have tried sending a ticket, over and over again, because I need Nitro for work. To no avail: I am sent back to the activation step by step guide or to this forum.

Please help!

Hello @anabelmerchan@gmail.com,

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

We want to make you aware of the change to your product that may affect its activation performance and to further assist you, could you please provide the serial number of your Nitro Pro?

To send it via private message, hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message'.

This matters because our business installers are different from the online ones.

Thank you very much in advance and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hello @anabelmerchan@gmail.com,

Thank you for the private message.

To continue offering our customers the very best PDF tools, we have upgraded our servers and have shut down the one your older version of Nitro Pro runs on so please clear all your Downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

Then install Nitro Pro 12.16.9.574 by getting the installer from this page:

https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads

If you are getting the 'Nitro Pro Wizard has failed' message using our .exe package, it is because it requires a stable Internet connection to download installation files so please use offline English MSI packages:

x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi
x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi

To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq

After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate by entering the same serial number 234600-xxxxxx-835784

Thank you for choosing Nitro and stay safe always!
