Can't activate Nitro Pro on second computer

My computer has an active Nitro Pro license that says "number of activations - 1" and "number of activations allowed - 2". 

We've been trying to install the other activation on my husband's computer, but he gets the message that the license number doesn't exist. 

Can you advise? I can send a screen shot of the license screen if you need it.

We recommend upgrading to our latest version, Nitro PDF Pro 13, which comes with significant stability and security improvements, as well as many feature enhancements, in particular in conversion and OCR functions. Alternatively, you can upgrade to the latest build of Nitro Pro 12. Per our Sunset Policy, https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/sunset-policy , we have stopped making feature enhancements to version 12 once we released version 13.  

Please refer to these steps:

1. Uninstall your current Nitro Pro through Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features and reboot your machine.

2. Clear all your Downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

3. You can find the Nitro Pro 12.16.9.574 installer on this page and activate it with your current Nitro Pro 11 serial number 234601-xxxxxx-043451:

If you are getting the 'Nitro Pro Wizard has failed' message using our .exe package, it is because it requires a stable Internet connection to download installation files so please use offline English MSI packages instead:

My new computer has version 12  and says there's 1 activation and 2 allowed.  (I guess my profile shows the version 11 that I had on my old computer, hence the reply above.)

My husband has an expired trial version on his computer and figured he could install mine, but when he enters the SN he gets the message that the SN doesn't exist. 

Does he need to uninstall the trial version? If so, how does he install mine?

He really needs this software now so any help is appreciated!

Please be informed that 'The serial number entered does not exist' means the serial number you are trying to activate is for a different version of Nitro Pro.

Looks like we need to uninstall the current version of Nitro Pro on your computer and install Nitro Pro 12. We then activate it using your serial number by referring to these steps:

1. Uninstall Nitro Pro from your husband's computer by going to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features then reboot the machine. 

2. Please clear all your downloads folder or delete all downloaded Nitro installers. This step is important because we noticed that if you are saving all the installers and you download them in the same folder (like the downloads folder), the EXE can pick up any MSI installer in that folder and you may pick-up one of the older builds instead of the newly downloaded package.

3. Download and install Nitro Pro 12.16.09.574 using these offline installers:

x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi

4. After installation, you can activate by opening Nitro Pro, clicking on the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activation, and entering your v11 serial number 234601-xxxxxx-043451.

My new version (v 12) has a different SN. I assume that's the number he would enter for activation?

I am unable to find a v12 serial number and in order for me to validate, kindly send it via private message (hover your mouse on top of my name 'AllainU' and select 'Message').

This matters because our business installers are different from the online ones.

He got it to work! I'll send you my current SN. When my husband installed the product shows the old (3451) SN.

If you need to update my account I'll send the current SN. Hopefully it won't mess up his installation. He really needs it for tax preparation.
