Philip Tannenbaum
Have V10 licenses on a desktop w/V10 installed and a new notebook. Both are Win11x64 Home. Trying to install to V12 via the online updater on either gets ''NitroPro setup wizard has failed'. Internet connection is a stable 50Mbps cable service but I moved on and downloaded the standalone installer as advised in another thread on the Community. The standalone installer installs but when trying to activate it tries to go to https://www.internetactivation.com/ECOSYSTEM/ActivationServer/tiactivate/default.aspx and gets www.internetactivation.com refused to connect. Might this be your old activation server even though the activation link started from the V12 package? How to get around it? V10 is installed on the desktop; V10 was installed and when problems arose activating it, it was uninstalled from the notebook. Same problem re the activation server on each. Philip Tannenbaum
Addenda. The window to link the activation server shows nitropdf.com/activate. Blindly trying gonitro.com/activate gets a server with a blank 'activation certificate' window but nothing else, reinforcing that linkage is the problem. Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted March 25, 2022 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted March 25, 2022 Hello @Philip Tannenbaum, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! Please note that we no longer support Nitro Pro 10 and its activation servers have been shut down which is why you are having issues activating. We recommend upgrading to our latest version, Nitro PDF Pro 13, which comes with significant stability and security improvements, as well as many feature enhancements, in particular in conversion and OCR functions. To upgrade to Nitro PDF Pro 13 at a discounted rate, please visit our Upgrade page https://www.gonitro.com/pro/upgrade Alternatively, you can upgrade to the latest build of Nitro Pro 12. Per our Sunset Policy, https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/sunset-policy , we have stopped making feature enhancements to version 12 once we released version 13. You can find the Nitro Pro 12.16.9.574 installer on this page and activate it with your current Nitro Pro 10 serial number 234600-xxxxxx-742746:https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads If you are getting the 'Nitro Pro Wizard has failed' message using our .exe package, it is because it requires a stable Internet connection to download installation files so please use offline English MSI packages instead: x32 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x86.msi x64 http://install.nitropdf.com/professional_12169574/en/retail/nitro_pro12_ba_x64.msi To know if you have 32-bit or 64-bit, please refer to this article:https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/15056/windows-32-64-bit-faq Thank you for choosing Nitro and I hope this helps. Philip Tannenbaum
That has been reinforced. The problem is with Nitro V12 that fails, as I posted in some detail.
Philip Tannenbaum
For clarity in my OP the problem is with Nitro V12 that fails, as I posted in some detail, again here with some bolding for improved clarity. Trying to install to V12 via the online updater on either gets ''NitroPro setup wizard has failed'. Internet connection is a stable 50Mbps cable service but I moved on and downloaded the standalone installer as advised in another thread on the Community. The standalone (edit: V12) installer installs but when trying to activate it tries to go to https://www.internetactivation.com/ECOSYSTEM/ActivationServer/tiactivate/default.aspx and gets www.internetactivation.com refused to connect. The problem appears to be an issue with the V12 package picking up something from the V10 package to activate on the old server that is no longer in use. What is the solution to fix this? It appears uninstalling V10 as I posted re the new notebook does not do it.

"Please note that we no longer support Nitro Pro 10 and its activation servers have been shut down which is why you are having issues activating." That's incredibly ugly UI isn't it? I can't really get over the credibility gap this causes wrt Nitro's customer-facing decision making.
