Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

Please try the steps below and see if it will resolve the 401 message:

1. Open your Nitro PDF Pro then close the 401 error message if it shows up. 
2. At the top right, click the Logout then close Nitro PDF Pro.
3. Open it again then click the Login button and login using your Nitro Sign account. 

If this did not resolve the issue, please uninstall your current installation then install the latest build of Nitro PDF Pro 12 (12.16.9.574)
Please note that we no longer support Nitro Pro 11 and older and its activation servers have been shut down. Also, access to the installer for older versions are no longer available.
However, your license has been reset and was transferred to the new activation server, allowing it to activate the latest build of Nitro PDF Pro 12 which is 12.16.9.574. 

The Nitro PDF Pro  12.16.9.574 installer can be located from the following location: 
https://www.gonitro.com/product-details/downloads - click the 'Download Nitro Pro 12' link.  

After the installation of Nitro PDF Pro  12.16.9.574, activate it using your existing serial number. Once activated, perform again the steps above if you still encounter the 401 message.
