Nitro Not Converting

When converting Excel or Word docs to pdf, the screen says the file is converting, but it does not.  It does not create a pdf file.

I have uninstalled and re-installed and that did not fix the problem.

Greetings @Paul Chamberlain

Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums!

Please check if you can convert the Word document by printing it using the Nitro PDF Creator. Here are the steps:

1. Open the Word document.
2. Go to File > Print then select Nitro PDF Creator as the printer.
3. Click Print. This will ask you where to save the file. Click Save then observe if this will print the document to PDF.

If this workflow works, please provide the following:

1. The version and build of your Nitro PDF Pro installation. This can be located under the Help tab > About Nitro Pro.
2. Are you converting the document to PDF using any of the following workflow?

• Right click on file > Click Convert to PDF with Nitro Pro
• Within Nitro Home - Create PDF From File > Add Files > Select File - Open > Create - Save\

Kind regards,

Print to Nitro in Word does not work.

I'm using Nitro 12.

I normally use the Nitro Pro Add In for Windows when creating PDFs.  But the Add In doesnt' work nor does Print to Nitro PDF.

Hi @Paul Chamberlain

Please check which build of Nitro PDF Pro 12 is installed on your computer. This can be located under the Help tab > About Nitro Pro. If your installation is not on 12.16.9.574, please update by downloading the installer from the link below:

https://www.gonitro.com/product-details/downloads - click the 'Download Nitro Pro 12' link.

If your installation is already on 12.16.9.574, I recommend to perform a clean uninstall using our cleanup tool then reinstall Nitro PDF Pro 12. This cleanup tool will remove all traces of Nitro and the process is different compared to the Windows uninstall. I have outlined the steps below:

1. Deactivate Nitro PDF Pro to release the license. To do this, navigate to the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Deactivate.

2. Download Nitro cleanup tool from the link below:
https://downloads.gonitro.com/professional_13.58.0.1180/install-cleanup/install-cleanup.zip

Please note that this cleanup tool will remove all traces of Nitro Pro including customized stamps.
If you have customized stamps, please refer to the link below about how to transfer/backup stamps:
https://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase/#/search/stamp/000004307

3. Extract the cleanup utility then run it by double-clicking the nitro-cleanup.vbs. Please be aware that a command prompt window will appear during the cleanup process.
4. After the cleanup, restart the computer.
5. Install Nitro Pro 12.16.9.574 using the installer from the link below:

https://www.gonitro.com/product-details/downloads - click the 'Download Nitro Pro 12' link.

6. After installing Nitro PDF Pro 12.16.9.574, activate it by going to the Help tab > About Nitro Pro > Activate. Enter your version 12 serial number then click Activate.

After completing these steps, please check if the issue with the conversion to PDF persists.

Kind regards,
