Nitro 12 now says, "Trial Mode" and Throws an Error on Launch

I purchased NitroPro 12 in 2020, but now the software says that my "trial has expired."  When I tried to enter my Activation Code I received an error message.  On the Nitro Website, it recommends to update to the latest version, however, it doesn't say that you will effectively be then forced to BUY that Upgrade, and the previous version will be REMOVED from your computer.  At least this seems to be what happens.

I looked and the Upgrade is $143.99 USD, pretty hefty, and reduced for black Friday no less!  I just want my Nitro 12 version back and working!!

The error thrown on launch is (error 401).  The error that occurs when I try to input my Activation Code is (-21).  I am on an MSI GL73 9SDK computer running Windows 10 HP.

We have upgraded our activation servers. Please install the latest Nitro Pro 12 update (12.16.9.574) so you can reactivate successfully: 
https://www.gonitro.com/nps/product-details/downloads

Then activate with your Nitro Pro 12 serial number.
