I upgraded to #13 because I could not get my hilighter to work on my previous version and now it does not work on the one that I just purchased.

Am I missing something on how to use it?

Hello @Brian Lardner

Thank you for posting on our Community Forums!

The regular highlight mark-up tool will work on text recognized by Nitro Pro.  If you have a scanned document or image, you can first use the OCR tool to convert the content to searchable and editable text.

However, if you have a document that has image content that would not be converted over with the OCR tool (such images without text,) that you wish to highlight, you can do the following:

  • Open the document with the images you want to highlight in Nitro Pro.
  • Click on the Review tab > Shapes > Rectangle > draw the rectangle.
  • Right-click the rectangle > Properties > Appearance.
  • Set the border to yellow, check the Fill Color box, set the fill to yellow and change the opacity to about 30 or 40%.

Now you can 'highlight' the text by drawing the rectangle on your content.

Please let us know if you have other questions.
