Upgrade to v14 failing: "unable to validate serial number"

I'm attempting to upgrade to v14 and my serial is not recognised on the support/upgrade page with the following message:


We were unable to validate your serial number. Please ensure you entered it correctly. If you believe you are eligible for an upgrade, please leave a post on our Community Forum and update us with your issue.

However, my serial works to activate v13 and elsewhere on the website
