Documents keep converting to a bitmap

I have been trying to email about the same issue, OCR of bitmap not working!  I then try and log in to upgrade and it asks for a "business email" and when I enter my Gmail address, the only email address I have, the system won't allow me to send a message to NitriPro.   What gives?   You can't be a person with a Gmail address?  My original address was a yahoo address and then Nitro had no problem selling me the program without a business address. Since the program is not working (why?) I would like to update to the latest version and assume that will fix the bug.  How do I upgrade?  I entered my serial number from my Nitro email but it does not recognize the serial number.  Please help
