How do I upgrade from Nitro Pro 13 to Nitro Pro 14?

I purchased a Nitro Pro 13 license last year. Upon seeing an updated version, Nitro Pro 14, released this year,  I downloaded the new version to my Windows PC. However, the serial number I acquired during the original purchase of Nitro Pro 13 is listed as an invalid license. Is there a remedy to this? Is Nitro Pro 14 a separate product from 13, and would I have to buy another license?
