sheusz@multicam.com.au
I'm running Nitro Pro v14 on Windows 11. Nitro is set as the default app for PDF's. File Explorer is not showing thumbnails for PDF documents. How does this get fixed? I've tried disc cleanup & clearing cache but it doesn't resolve the problem. Official Nitronaut Reymund Oyong Posted February 21 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted February 21 Greetings @sheusz@multicam.com.au Thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums! We apologize for the delay and inconvenience this issue has caused. Please try the following and see if this fixes the issue with PDF thumbnails in Windows File Explorer: 1. Open a CMD window as an Administrator. 2. Navigate to the Nitro folder by entering the following command: cd "C:\Program Files\Nitro\PDF Pro\14" and pressing enter 3. Disable the Thumbnail provider by running this command: regsvr32 /u NitroPDFPreviewHandler.dll 4. Press Enter 5. A prompt saying “DllUnregisterServer in NitroPDFThumbnailProvider.dll succeeded” should appear, just click ok. 6. Enable the Thumbnail provider by running this command: regsvr32 NitroPDFPreviewHandler.dll 7. A prompt saying “DllRegisterServer in NitroPDFThumbnailProvider.dll succeeded” should appear, just click ok. Kind regards,
sheusz@multicam.com.au
Hello Reymund Thank you for your reply. I tried as you suggested, twice, rebooting between attempts but the problem is still not resolved. I received all the correct messages in your post but I still cannot see any thumbnails. Is there another suggestion?
